Services & Pricing

Whatever your DMV letter
says, we test for it.

Five services, one flat and posted price list. No hidden fees, no "diagnostic charge," no surprise add-ons at the counter.

Most Common

Test-Only Smog Check

The standard biennial or change-of-ownership check required by the California DMV for most gasoline vehicles model year 2000 and newer.

WHO NEEDS THIS

  • Renewing registration on a standard schedule
  • Buying or selling a used vehicle
  • No prior DMV flags or referral requirement

OBD-II Scan

Direct read of your vehicle's onboard diagnostic computer for stored emissions codes and readiness monitors.

Visual Inspection

Quick check of your gas cap, check-engine light, and emissions-control hardware for tampering or damage.

Instant E-File

On a pass, your certificate is filed with the DMV before you leave the lot — no paper to mail in.

State Required

STAR Station Smog Check

A more rigorous test performed only at licensed STAR stations — required when the DMV directs your vehicle to one, or when a prior test flagged an issue.

WHO NEEDS THIS

  • Your renewal notice says "STAR station only"
  • Your vehicle is registered as a "high emitter"
  • You're randomly selected under the state's rotation

Every STAR test is signed off by a licensed technician

STAR-certified doesn't just mean the equipment — it means the person running your test has passed state licensing and is personally accountable for the result the DMV receives.

For diesel-powered trucks, vans, and SUVs. We run the required opacity test most gas-only stations don't offer.

Beyond the Test

We'll walk you through
the DMV part too.
